YOUNG ZASTA

While most Rappers and R&B Music artists struggle to merge hardcore, street-level hip-hop with R&B and pop musical styles, this New Jersey Born but Florida raised emerging enteprenuer; Young Zasta seems to have been gifted since age twelve. Zas has been making a significant impact in the eastern United States, multiple underground mixtape circuit, late 2008-09 Young Zasta self-released his first international digital single in the spring of 2010 titled, "My Birthday", (available on i-tunes, amazon.com and most major digital retail stores) through Island Def Jam/ Digital Distribution.
    Young Zasta, also known as DiZasta because of his rap-battle reputation descript for destroying competition with his lyrical skill, describes his entertainment style in his own words simply as, "greatness". His first international single, "My Birthday", is very universal. Young Zasta appeals to all women showing that thugs can have a sensitive and gentle side as well as a rough hardcore-rap exterior. Born Jamil Johnson in the vicinity of Newark, New Jersey he began performing infront of his Cousin and Legal Guardians. He then moved down to Florida, Fort. Lauderdale at the age of six with musical influences such as: Snoop Dogg, Big Daddy Kane and singers Avant, Usher, William Benton, Tim McGraw and the late Michael Jackson. Young Zasta never fails to affectionately mention his Aunt Florence as his biggest and most powerful over-all influence.
     Recognized by CMJ.com panel internet radio station DaOne Radio.com in 2010 as one of Florida's young rappers to watch, Young Zasta continues to impress first time audiences and old fans alike with his music.
